PRE-PRODUCTION
Traditional plastics are made from non-renewable fossil based resources, such as oil. The oil is not only finite, but the extraction also harms and pollutes surrounding wildlife and marine ecosystems.
PRODUCTION
Numerous toxic chemicals are used in the production of plastics and the production process is rarely closed-loop. This means that both water and air are polluted with chemicals and microplastics.
END OF LIFE
Not all plastics are recyclable. The vast majority of plastic products end up in landfill. As they erode, harmful additives in the plastic end up leaching into the environment.
We are committed to creating the best cellulose based products possible, completely void of plastic. We make sure our cellulose and wood comes from responsibly managed sources and use recycled materials when possible. The use of fresh water is minimal in our production process, our factory runs on green energy and we use no toxic chemicals during production. Our base product is both compostable and recyclable - you can throw it into paper recycling, or the compost, when it has reached the end of its useful life.

Most importantly, we are always working to improve our product and process, so we do not have to compromise on sustainability to find a great product.
